| Eise Eisinga Planetarium
The oldest working mechanical planetarium in the world. In 1774 a preacher announced the end of time because of a conjunction of 4 planets and the moon in the constellation of Aries. As a reaction on this announcement Eisinga built this planetarium between 1774 and 1781 to show the people that there was no danger at all from a planetary conjunction. | Marl Caves S. Limburg
Lacation Maastricht, Valkenburg, 2 - 2.5 hrs from Amsterdam These are actualliy no caves but mines. Created since the Roman period. In the caves one can find paintings and sculptures from upto 1000 years old till now. It tells the live of the people during periods of war (when the minees were used for shelter.
